The Gold Dust Meridian is located in the Portland Modern building in the heart of Southeast Hawthorne. Built with mid-century modern flair during the height of the atomic age, we’ve kept this classic design adding large comfortable booths, slanted teak ceilings, a custom bar built with reclaimed Oregon timber, and a dimly lit brick and wood façade. Easily accessible by foot, bike, bus, or vehicle, the Meridian is a great place for friends to congregate after shopping on Hawthorne, coming home after work, or late night entertainment.

The Meridian offers and array of local beers, wines, and spirits as well as an amazing menu that keeps quality and budget in mind. The Meridian has an extensive classic and champagne cocktail menu that list date/place of origin along with a new twist on the old recipes. We also offer large “scorpion bowls” designed to be shared with parties of two or more. Our happy hour is seven days a week from 2 – 8PM and offer live DJs and music Thursday – Sunday.

We host local artist installations which rotate monthly. The lounge has plenty of outdoor seating and a secret grotto style covered patio. We offer free wi-fi, a pool table and the best jukebox in town featuring jazz, blues, hip-hop, and soul. Cheers!
